I suppose so. He already said it was used during the 19th century so no need to worry about that but I really don't think it's fair since you can basiclly find out anything with google.

Meh. One of you guys recently was right anyway according to my Googling. beat me to it. By when i meant Civil War, by looks it appears it is a german model possibly, from 1860s.
