55g lighting
Is two 18 inch, 15 watt, 6500k fluorescent bulbs enough for Amazon swords and anubias?
55g planted. black skirt tetras. Neon tetras. Emerald Cory cat. Glow light tetras. 1kribensis cichlid, b. Rainbow fish. Rhino pleco. Pearl gourami. Dwarf platys
29g planted. 1firemouth cichlid. Gold barbs. Scissortail rasboras.

Although there are several options, my preference is a 4' T5 fixture with two bulbs. you would need to replace the top with glass tops if you have the standard hood that comes with a 55g.

+1 to KF. Also i would go for a T5-HO instead of the NO.

Wow it looks so good! Completely changes the whole feel of the tank!

It's awesome to get a light upgrade, really does change the whole feel of the tank:) Congrats and good luck with the plants.
Finally reached 6 tanks... oh god, this addiction is getting serious. 75g mbuna tank, 65g gold severum, 55g OB peacock breeding colony, 30g(36x18) growout, 20 long Dwarf Alto's, 10g fry tank.
If I die young bury me in... An 8x2x2 with versa tops and a large sump for adequate filtration;)
