Thanks ibuyen. I've had that coral for about two years now. I've really enjoyed waiting him grow from just one inch to 8 inches
Had a little trouble with the tank yesterday. Sometime during the night the return pump stopped working. Good thing I planned the sump to take all of the drain-back from the tank as there was not a drop of water split.
As I’m out of town until tomorrow night, the wife just moved the heaters from the sump into the tank to maintain the temp and I will replace the return pump when I get back home. With all the live rock and power heads in the main tank, the lion fish will still have all the filtration he needs. If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

Nice when proper pre-planning turns a potential disaster into just an annoyance.
Was that pump new? Odd that it crapped out already.

Actually the pump is in working order. As it turns out, the GFI on the power bar was tripped and for some reason it won't reset. I replaced the powerbar and gave the pump a good cleaning yesterday.

Its a Green Nepthea leather coral. I’m not 100% sure I spelt that correctly
There are a few on-line places in the US that sell them. They are very hard to find in the ocean, but there are a lot of Aquacultered ones for sale which would be a better option IMO.If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

Lionfish were Picard's favorite fish too if you recall...At least in the series...I think he was the Captain that had that tank.

Thanks guys
I am also amazed at how fast lionfish grow. This guy has gone from around 2.5 to 3 inches (forget exactly) to a 4 inches in a very short time.If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.
