gourami with really weird obsession
My male honey gourami has this really weird obsession with a snail
in his tank. whenever he sees it he swims over, colors intensifying dramatically, and displays and shimmies to the snail. he does this for hours on end every time he sees the snail. he doesn't behave like the snail is a food item, and I have the suspicion that he thinks the snail(which is a vaguely gourami-colored horned nerite) is a conspecific. I am not really sure what to do now, should i just leave him and his mad obsession be? or should I let him flare to a mirror instead of the snail? or get him a harem in case he's lonely?
I am no computer whiz but I'll try to get will try to get videos as soon as possible.

I'd love to see it too! I think it's cool to have something different happening in the tank, as long there's no harm being done. I wouldn't change anything, if no one is getting injured or sick.Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~Chuck Clark

I still am having "slight" issues with my obstinate computer, so
videos will not be coming immediately, but no, I haven't forgotten!

In case anyone still cares, here is a video
of the gourami doing his silly dance to the snail. Sorry for picture quality!
