frontosa with geophagus cichlids
hello all
wondering if it would be ok to mix a frontosa in with my geo's obviously i know frontosa's are africans and require higher ph normally...I've seen alot of tanks online with them mixed in with south americans and geo's I think temperament wise one would be fine but don't no if lower ph would be harmful though about getting a small one and trying it out

You see goldfish in bowls online too but I would not keep them that way. Fronts are wonderful fish but I think happier when with their own in a large tank. Or at least a few of them and perhaps other tanganyikan's.
I would not even consider keeping tanganyikan cichlids with south american. There's much bad info out there so be careful.Cycling With Fish?•• The Fishless Cycle••

I've seen quite a bit of discussion about this combination, and there seems to be a mixture of opinions. I've read that people will say that having Geos and Fronts is ok, providing you don't have a breeding pair of Geos, because they can get quite nasty. And to keep multiple Geos with the Fronts, you need to add only females. Others say that the Geos are just plain nasty towards them.
In my opinion, if you have to fiddle around like that to get two different species of fish, from two different parts of the world to only POSSIBLY live together then it's not worth the risk. Fronts are beautiful on their own.
