Java fern needs Help and relocation...
Well, besides my bba problem my java fern is getting so big for the corner of my tank. I would like to know and if any one can help please, How would I take the plant out and clean it up?
Also, can I cut it in half and put the other half on the other side of the tank?
Once I take it out should I do a water change because I do need to do one or all this stuff going to upset my Tiger Barbs?
Please help!
Thanks a Bunch!!!

Dawn,
You can divide it. Use good clean and sharp scissors, cut it in half, and plant in the other side of your tank.
It is ok to do your water change. Even plants need freshening up a bit. Go for it. 10% water change has the least impact to your fish.

Cut the rhizome/root thingy in half and replant it while leaving the rhizome/root thingy out of the substrate. Java fern really grows best when attached to wood or rocks. Burying it will cause rot, but it doesn't seem like you have any, so you probably already know that.
