New tank - help
Hello guys.
After alot of thinking, this is the last species I wanna put at my tank, tell me if its ok (210G).
the tank will be with alot Rocks and roots:
2 Clown Knifefish
1 Oscar
1 Blood Parrot Cichlid
1 Severum
1 Green Terror
1 Texas Cichlid
1 wild Tilapia Zilli
and a little pack of 4 Clown botia.
I know that not every fish from the same lake \ area but still expect of the KnifeFish every fish with the same level of aggression and size.

Also Green terror can be pretty vicious little monsters depending on the personality of the individual. I'd say you might be able to get away with it but if i were you I'd go with either big mean cichlids, or medium sized milder cichlids like the severums and blood parrot. This is not to say your stock wont work though, this is just my personal opinion. Also I'm not sure about the Tilapia Zilli but i do know that it is from Egypt, and could have different water parameter requirements. Finally reached 6 tanks... oh god, this addiction is getting serious. 75g mbuna tank, 65g gold severum, 55g OB peacock breeding colony, 30g(36x18) growout, 20 long Dwarf Alto's, 10g fry tank.
If I die young bury me in... An 8x2x2 with versa tops and a large sump for adequate filtration;)

Do you already have the 210g? Is this a 6ft tank? In a tank this small with aggressive fish (texas, gt, tilapia, clown knife), there isn't much room for territory, especially if the clown knife gets to over 24".
At a minimum, remove the blood parrot and the severum from your list. They can't match the aggression of the other fish. I'm not sure about the botia either. The clown may consider them a midnight snack.
If you really want the clown knife, reduce it to 1.
Personally for the 210g, I would do
1 clown knife
1 texas
1 gt
1 wild tilapia

with the Severum I agree but with the Blood Paroot got 2 types, one realy aggressive and one peaceful.
But if ill give up on this two and 1 KnifeFish and put instead of them
3 Red Pacu?

Even the aggressive parrot is at a disadvantage because it can't lip lock and defend itself against the texas, gt, or tilapia. However, if the texas and the aggressive BP are opposite sex, then the texas might want to breed and help it against the other fish.
Dont do red pacu. They are skittish and get real big fast. Personally I think they are best in ponds or at least a 8 foot aquarium. If you want something like a pacu, get silver dollar fish in a school of 5.

They are fast fish, many people put them in with aggressives like oscars an other big 12" cichlids.
The knife fish on the other hand...maybe not. I forgot they were nocturnal.

Now when you mention thats, I forget too.
You know what size will be the Clown Knifefish mouse at his full size?
I only saw guy with oscars / green terror and one Knifefish but he was at the same long as the others fish.
When the Knifefish will be at his max size he can eat the GT, tilapia, clown Botia (like the silver dollar, they fast and be kept in all freshwater tank and large fish also) and the Texas or not?
They probably be full size too. Around 30 cm when he get around 100 cm..
* sorry about all the questions but I prefer to watxh the future too before I bring fishes :) *
