Blood Red Parrots - Can you prevent spawning?
I had 7 BPs in my 150G tank. They were fine until the pairing began. Then the biggest pair started fighting with all of the others. They are in a constant non-productive spawning cycle. I had to move the 3 that were not paired into my 55G tank. Is there a way to change the environment to reduced the spawning behavior?
BTW. Big B, seen in the picture, LOVES to gather bubbles and take them back to her cave. She divides her time between beating up the other BPs, moving rocks and gathering bubbles. It's cute, just wondering if there is a reason for it.

I used to just remove the eggs once they spawned. They'll settle down again once they see the eggs are gone. Mine stopped spawning a year ago. Not sure why.
You could have moved the pair into the 55 or even moved either the males or females into the smaller tank. With no girls around, there's nothing for guys to fight over. I would probably have moved the pair.Cycling With Fish?•• The Fishless Cycle••

I'll try removing the eggs.
I'm thinking I will need to switch everybody once the convict fry are big enough to give away. My 55G is community is getting a bit crowded, while my 150G just has a few of the bigger BPs and Angels plus the convicts. I ready moved the smaller angels back to the 55G.

Oh gez. I forgot you were the one that had the convicts, angels and parrots together. Nightmare.
