Bought my 1st Coral!

Alright, I am committed now. Bought my first Green Zoa tonight. Most of the polyps opened right up after I placed it in the tank. Keep you posted.

let the addiction take over from here. lol a zoa was to my first coral and was my only coral for about a week and then it developed into a weekly treat of buying something new. as many of us here now have more than one tank :)

The tank is a month old. Here are the specs:
55 Gallons
70# live rock
56# of live sand
20# regular sand
Seaclone skimmer
two circulation pumps
HOB Finnex refugium (has some algae, but I am getting some chaeto to go in it
Running a Marineland canister for chemical filtration, but will be replacing it with a HOB AC70 converted to a refugium in a few weeks.
Livestock: two pecula clowns, 2 serpent starfish, various cleaning crew (blue leg hermits and various reef safe snails)
Chemistry: all levels are good except my nitrates are still around 5ppm. I set up the tank with tap water. Been using culligan distilled for water changes and top offs for a month. Just got my RO/DI in the mail this week and began using it.

I guess you could say I am officially addicted now. I have bought 4 more pieces since my original post. 2 more Zoas, a ricordia and now a toadstool. My wife sais that I need help.
