    Default tiger barb question

    Would a school of tiger barbs be ok with my firemouth cichlid?

    They should be fine with a Firemouth. I've heard of and read about quite a lot of people mixing Tigers with Firemouths. Try and get some larger ones though. Something around 1.5 - 2 inch mark, if you can. After asking around, and doing a lot of research, I've just began to trial a school of Tiger Barbs with some less aggressive African Cichlids, and on day 5 there has been absolutely no issues at all. They even feed together, like they've been together for years! But I am in the process of setting up a back up tank, if things start to get nippy!
