I'm jealous, and looking forward to seeing this set-up develop over time.
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

Have you thought about an automatic siphoning and refilling system for water changes -- or is that what the sump is about?

You're going to have lots of fun with this! Hope you can find Prime in gallon jugs (more like 5 gallons!).

The sky is the limit with creativity, here ... as far as your imagination will take you (and your budget).

    Very happy for you!

Thanks for all the comments, everyone! Let's see if I can respond to a few things.

I have not thought about an automatic water change system... it's something I don't know much about at all. Maybe I'll do some reading up on them. The sump is where the filter lives. Think of it sort of like an oversized canister filter.

yeah... 6 capfuls per water change? Gonna be running through the stuff quickly for sure.

Yeah, that'll be the next thing after the stand is done (which I think I may have enough money for now). I bet I can find something pretty cheap on craigslist.
