Thread: Schooling fish

  1. Default Schooling fish

After reorganizing my 12 gallon tank I now have
    1 Red Honey Gourami
    1 Electric Blue Ram
    and 1 Orange Dwarf Crayfish

My Ph is 7.4 and I keep the temperature at 80. I think I would like to add one more ram and a few small schooling fish. Any suggestions? I'm just looking for ideas right now.

Your tank is stocked. If your blue ram survives the crayfish it is going to want more room than a 12g tank.
When I go fishing I just throw sharp rocks in the water and wait for the dead fish to float to the top... Kingfisher

I think my fish is adjusting well to the four gallon, He's laying on his side attempting to go to sleep on the bottom of the gravel.

The crayfish is supposedly community friendly and I haven't seen him try to touch any of my other fish yet. The last thing I want is an overstocked tank though. Thanks for your advice

They are more peaceful than other crays and stay small. It's probably ok to have one in the tank. But I wouldn't add any more fish.

The ram needs at least 20 gallons and really shouldn't be kept in a tank that small.

Personally, I wouldn't be keeping a Ram in a 12g tank either. They do much better in larger tanks, and they also like their water in good condition, so keep an eye on that.
