theres loads of info over on UKAPS.

I was looking at importing some nice varieties from Germany, theres not a great choice in the UK.
The ones on Ebay are generally pretty poor strains (chucked in a tank and bred as fast as possible to turn a profit).

How are your cherries coming along anyway bud?
Used to try and keep track of my fish here.....

glad to hear it buddy :)

I sold the last of mine from my kitchen tank after shutting down the main one aswell.

I swear, hand on heart there was not a single cherry to be seen for 2 1/2 months.
Slowly I began to see one or two tiny ones, now 7 months on there are about 15 in the tank again!

The only reason I sold them all was so I could get some Blue shrimp imported and was concerned they'd mix and go back to natural dirty brown.

Glad I left it long enough to find out before spending 300 on them!

There are hundreds of species of shrimp, but aside from the Neocaridina species most are lower-order shrimp that have a larval stage. Many/most of those require salt water for the first stages of their development, so breeding and raising them in aquariums isn't really possible. The higher-order types don't have a larval stage or require salt water to develop. Just do some research on the specific species that strike your fancy.

I love having them in my tanks. Why'd you shut down that main tank Chris? That track was an absolute beauty. Dunno how many times I sat and watched your YouTube video on it. My we tank is climb at the minute with all my java ferns.

So close to goin today and gettin an apistogramma cockatoo. My baby shrimp will prob become lunch though so I'm in 2 minds at the minute still.
Its turning into a heavily planted we jungle so they might be fine.
