Yet another new snake!
I am friends with our local Petco manager. We were out to dinner last Friday and he told me they have a Blood Python that was too mean to be sold as a pet. He said this snake has bitten everyone in the store more than once. That being said...He said he would give me the snake as an "adoption". I happily agreed to take the animal and now have myself a ferocious little Blood Python!
He's had a go at me on several occasions, but has not hit me yet. I like to think I have a little more snake keeping experience than the local Petco employess. : )
Anyway...Here he is! What a little monster!

Cute, too! Wow, how do you find the time/money/space for all these snakes?
I tested 97% positive for Multiple Tank Syndrome

Thats what we did when my son was on the way.All of the large snakes/monitor cages and heat devices were on lockdown.Eventually four years later, with some parental hands on education, all is fine. And as you know with reptiles, they are very low maintenance."under correct care"Although there was a playing in the oscar tank problem.

Our snake collection is now in the tens of thousands of dollars and I take all precautions possible.
My biggest worry with a child is the Electric Cat tank. I've been trying to think out a locking mechanism.
P.S. I would love to see the Snakes and Monitors!Last edited by Demjor19; 08-13-2012 at 07:41 PM.

Nice-looking snake. I know someone who keeps snakes and lizards, and she was hoping for a blood python to breed with a ball python for a super ball python.
