Just want to give an update:

My LFS sold me API Super Ick Cure in a bottle. I put half dose in day 1, and added the rest day 2 so the chocolate gourami wouldn't have a problem. Slowly lowered the temp to 86, took out filter carbon. One spot left on the chocolate on the fin, but there is still 1 more day till the bottle tells me to do a 25% water change and add back the filter. I've been checking the ammonia levels, 0.

Any other advice for me? Should I let the super ick stay in the tank an extra day?

I notice that people use salt for ick, would that affect the chocolate gourami?
