He is doing pretty good right now.
I maintained the copper meds for two weeks. This was followed by 3 every large water changes over three days. He will be staying in QT for about another two weeks or so, just to be sure.If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

4 weeks later and this fish is ick free and now in the display tank acting like a power brown tang should (picking at the rocks and bossing around other tangs bigger than he is)
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

I believe that all new tangs and most angels should go through a qt with cu just to make sure.They both seem so prone to ich when purchased. Im glad yours made it through in great shape!

I usally do a preventative treatment for parasites, but I found info that many people do exactly what you are stating Smaug. I just might do the same from now on
