    What species are these Clams? I put it in my pond. And What are their function?

    Clams filter organic matter suspended in the water column, so
    they MIGHT help slightly with cloudy water. I doubt though that your clams can be identified
    to any species on this forum.

    Unless the bottom of your pond is covered in these clams there will be nothing noticeably affected. They wont hurt anything either.

    can't they unroot the plants when they try to burrow on the sand? I put sand in my pond

    How many clams should I have in my pond which has size 150 cm long, 50 cm wide, and 40 cm in dept? (I have 20 goldfish, and some aquatic plants in it)
