In need of cherry barb expert

So I've had five female cherry barbs and one male in my community 29 gallon along with 6 Cory and shrimp, I went to the store and purchased 1 more male barb and 2 females. I so I would have 7 females and 2 males. That was Sundays today I just got home from work and found my biggest female dead looked like she was attacked what's going on should I get more female did the male do it did the females do it sigh first gourami jumps out now this is help would be greatly appreciated

I bought several two days ago and found one dead this morning, too. It happens.

No no I get that......... However this is the biggest female i had and not one of the new ones I've had her for almost a year there are two holes on her underside, looked like she was attacked I Denno maybe 7 females 2 males were too much

I only see them chase females. I have never seen one literally attacked.

hmm i denno its weird...........o well. i guess ill keep an eye out. maybe she got stuck along something *****shrug**** sucks i wanted to add 3 more females for a total of 10 females 2 males and i think i would of been fully stocked with 12 cherry barbs 3 peppered cory 2 albino cory 5 shrimp and 3 snails

Now it's weird the older cherry barb male is hiding in my one cave and only comes out when a female or the other male comes by he attacks them and then goes back in the xVe, he also nipped a peppered Cory
