Missing JTS baby found alive
So a while back we lost track of our baby Japanese trapdoor snail. We had seen our first trapdoor give birth to this baby the second day we had her in our tank. But the baby was absolutely tiny, so when it moved off the front glass we lost track of him. Its been like three weeks to a month now, and the wife was under the assumption he was dead. I actually got blamed for smashing him while moving rocks, or pulling him out during a WC more than once. But tonight we were messing with the tanks because we had a crystal red shrimp die. So there we sit checking all the levels, inspecting the tank, and bam there the little snail is stuck to an airline tube. Hes now bigger than the RamsHorn we have, and how he stayed invisible in the tank so long with me constantly messing with it is beyond me. I can't believe how fast these suckers grow. Just thought it was pretty cool that he had fended for himself so well and wanted to share our spot of good news on the tail of the bad news of loosing waldo the crystal red shrimp.

Yeah I'm slowly learning that. Scratch the word one from above. Now make it three. Found two more we didn't even know she had today. All very definitely trapdoors. I still can not figure out how all three of these guys evaded my entire family's constant attention on the tank with the size they are. I've moved the decorations around so many times since they went missing, and had to replant most of my plants from the momma tearing them out of the substrate while sliding past (she's fat). It just astounds me.
