  1. Default does anyone find airline tubing ENRAGING to install?

Dear lord! I had no idea what a process hiding a little tube could be. After my poor fish were subjected to a gravel vacuum and water change, I attempted to install my first airstone [I bought one of the long ones, I feel like my water needs more oxygen]... WHAT A PROCESS. Is there anything specifically manufactured to sit length-wise with suction cups to hide airline tubing?

I lay mine along the back of the tank and sprinkle a bit of gravel on it or put it under a chunk of driftwood.

To answer the question in the title: Yes.

I've previously used heavy flat stones under the substrate at either end of the tubing to keep it down. Works great. Is a pain to do.

They also make airline tubing that looks like a plant. It blends in well.

I'm fairly certain they do this on purpose they just want to make us angry. It's all a conspiracy lol.

Heat it up, bend it in shape. Stick a few suction cup holders on it. Sorted!

At least that's how I remember it from the time before I switched to a juwel filter system

I have it situated under the gravel it's just the vertical tubing I want to conceal. I'm thinking of researching DIY projects for "3-d" backgrounds... perhaps make a half-moon hollow shape into a tree-trunk esque sort of concealing structure to hide the airline tubing. I'm planning on having another stone inside of a piece of rock I'm going to purchase for my corys for a cave... it's just all so much work! i loooove it though now that it's on, so it's worth it.

It is a conspiracy. The tubing is just malleable enough to place where you want it, but flimsy enough to float unless it's suctioned or buried right at the bottom of the tank.

If you have a hang on back filter on your tank, that creates more than enough surface agitation and introduces plenty of oxygen into the water. Don't really need any an air stone, unless you really want to add one in. Can get airline tubing is blue and black as well. Some stores do sell clear rigid tubing that will fit onto regular airline hoses. I think petsmart carries it even, I think $2 for a 3ft piece.
