    Default predatory pond fish

I am searching for a small, predatory fish that can tolerate colder waters
    that will eat fish fry.
I have around 35 rosy red minnows and 9 white clouds in a pond
and they have multiplied like bacteria on a petri dish. I thought the white clouds would eat the fry but they not only leave all fry alone but they also contributed to the cloud of twitching little sticks with bulgey eyes that occupies the entire surface of the pond.

I was thinking somewhere along the lines of a paradise fish or small pumpkinseed species.
that will eat fry but leave the adults alone. If its a "native" species it would also be awesome if you could suggest where to buy since normal aquarium stores don't typically carry things like that.

How big is the pond? Under 500 gallons then get a nice pumkinseed sunny but qt and treat with prazi for a month before putting it in as they can contain some ugly parasites if caught wild.

    Thanks for the suggestions,

the pond is roughly oval but otherwise quite irregular.
estimates on the Internet vary wildly from 700 to 1000gallons.

can anyone also give me tips where to acquire such fish
Outside of catching them wild? I don't actually want to mess around
With the truckload of confusing laws permits licenses and regulations that
    Surround catching a wild fish.

Just find a private pond, catch one,qt it as already recomended and put it in your pond. Easy peasy.
