American Flagfish acting odd?
I have had a single male American Flagfish in my tank for around 9 months. See info below. He is normally the dominate fish and usually is out swimming and hitting the topwater micro-pellets and bloodworms.
The last 2-3 weeks he's been reclusive, hiding under plants and doesn't seem interested at feeding time. Water parameters seem normal (0-am,0-trite,15-trate)
29 gallon planted tank
unheated - around 72 degrees F
6 White Cloud Mountain Minnows
4 Peppered Cories
1 Amano Shrimp
Large water change weekly
no new foods, ferts or chemicals being used
other fish are acting normal
no visible bad signs on any fish
Only thing of note recently is that the tank had a Blue Green algae outbreak which I treated by removing cabomba (pretty much dead from BGA) and adding Hornwort. I heard a fresh plant competing for Trates usually gets rid of it and it seems to have been working.
Any thoughts on what might be causing him to hide?

Maybe it's the water changes. If the pH goes up/down a little every WC it won't do him any justice.
Try testing every water change to see if the parameters change.I tested 97% positive for Multiple Tank Syndrome
