finally in the tank. Terrible picture, but I don't have a camera, and it was the best shot I had. There are six of them in there only two are in the shot while the fish at the upper left is a glowlight tetra. From what I've read they get to be good looking fish. Here's hoping. The fish are a little under 1" now.
unfortunately, they did not acclimate well and I lost all but two, which are doing well. They haven't had any more at my LFS, and it was the only time I've seen them there. Hopefully, I can fill them out again when more are in stock.
just a follow up since it's been a while, I had four for almost a year and added two more a couple days ago. I had some water quality problems in this tank, so I upgraded the filtration. This tank has been healthy for a while now, but I lost a lot of crypts in the hurricane power outage last year, and only over the past few months are they starting come back.
Barbs are healthy and pretty much full grown, the appear to be all females, here's hoping at least one new one is a male, and yes the glowlight tetras still get in the way.
Thanks for the update, hopefully you'll get a male out of the two, maybe get 4 more? Six is always the minimum suggested, but like tetras, the bigger the school, the happier and more active the fish will be.
