  1. Default 60g Fresh Water tank

Ive had think tank for about 6 months so far so it is established. Im planning on going to the local pet store today but im unsure of what to look for. Ill list whats residing in the tank right now:

    1 common goldfish
    2 green neon tetra
    1 golden sucker fish
1 YoYo fish (gonna have to look it up lol)

I thought about getting a catfish but i already have the two bottom feeders. Ill add some pictures in a few because i have plant questions as well. Is it better to flood the tank with greenery or leave them some elbow room? Anyways, any advice is good.. THANKS!

Nice large tank sandlercd. Just beware; Goldfish are cold water species and tetras are warm water species. Having both in the same tank is difficult.

As long as your feeding the bottom dwellers, a school of Cories would fit as long as the water temperature is in their zone. Which means your Goldfish wont be happy.

Nothing wrong with live plants in a tank but so you can see whats going on, leave some open room.
Warning; Bulldog Pleco guarding my Sons tank now..

Thanks :). I got it from a co worker for a cool 30$. I already had way more than enough gear for it from previous tanks. Heres a picture i just took:

If I were you I would rehome the goldfish. Just won't work well with the other tropical fish you have. In terms of what to replace it with you have a ton of options.

First, I would get about 8-13 more neon tetras. They need to be in schools and the more there are the better they look. Next you could add some cories which are also schooling fish so be sure if you add them to have at least 6. Cherry barbs would also be a nice addition IMO as they are very active and would look nice with the neons.

Same here. He belongs in someones pond anyway. Then you can stock your tank with schools of tetra's, as they should be stocked.

Personally, I would fill it in with a little more green. Fish like to be able to hide when they feel threatened.

The goldfish doesn't belong in a tropical tank, it's a coldwater fish and messy besides. I would return him and you'll have a lot of options then, as well as healthy fish.

Definitely up the school of tetras to, well, a school. At least 6.

A school of cories would be fun, and when they are happy they swim the lower section of the tank as well as the bottom. Just make sure you feed them sinking food.

If you want a display fish, I think an angel would work there...never kept them but you have the space...maybe someone else can chime in on that.

Or get a gourami...just one though, since you currently have no hiding places.

And another school of some tetra or barb would be perfect to complete the tank!
20 gallon with a male betta, neons, glowlights, and red cherry shrimp. (work in progess) Recently added a few LIVE plants and driftwood, Woooohoooo!

    Nice looking tank there!

Like everyone said you should get rid of the goldfish since he is coldwater. I'd put a background on it as well. (I'd paint it personally.) Put some plants in there, probably low light plants, and put in more tetras. It'll look fantastic!
    130g: 4 Angelfish, 2 Roseline Sharks, 12 Conga Tetras, 5 Kuhli Loaches, 1 Otocinslus, 1 Corydora
