zucchini?

I read that zucchini is an acceptable food to feed fish who enjoy/need veggymatter. Is it a good? *I* certainly like it and so do the guinea pigs (but even they're getting sick of it lol), but will my mollies and cories? I was thinking of putting a few reasonable chunks in just as is as well as maybe putting some in some kind of DIY food. I saw some videos on you tube about that and it looked fun. Or is zucchini really not so good? I HAVE been lied to by the internet before.

I feed my tanks courgette (or as the U.S have decided to call it, zuccini). However I keep plecos who basically need it as a tank cannot alone support them with algae. Some fish will peck away and eat it like - rosy barbs, kribensis, firemouths. Your cory cats will not go near it, they are carnivorous and need a meaty diet of bloodworms, shrimp, brineshrimp etc

What exactly is in your tank?

My corys have nothing to do with it nor cucumbers, either. My bristlenose eats it as well as my otto's and shrimp.

Ah, thank you guys. I have a molly trio ff/m, their hopefully soon to be gone fries, and two albino cories. I didn't know cories were carniverous, I kind of assumed they were omniverous glad I found that out sooner rather than later.

I was told mollies like/need plantmatter but I'd also been told once that that is all the eat, but I'm _pretty sure_ that isn't true. Will they eat it or is that try it and hope for the best kind of deal?

Also, I think that's a pretty awesome word for zucchini, scottishfish. :D

My swordtails and danios don't recognized zucchini as food. Any way to get them to start trying it? how should I be delivering it to them, right now i just wedge a slice between some decor in the tank.

Cories don't like zucchini?
I always have to place the veggie clip at least 6 inches off the substrate
otherwise the cories will ravage the zucchini. It probably is not too healthy for them though.

As for your question, zucchini really is a good thing to have in a tank, and is
necessary if you have algae eating fish that cannot sustain themselves on tank algae only or herbivorous fish. most other omnivorous and some "carnivorous" species will peck at it too.
