My setup keeps evolving

I got my new Sunsun hooked up yesterday and I cant believe how quiet it is. And the flow is very nice. Before I was using a 20g sump with my Emperor 400 in the sump but I just didnt like the overflow and sump setup so I moved the 400 up to the tank, removed the sump and placed the Sunsun in its place under my DT. I cant hear anything coming from the tank.

I think I will do some DIY to the output from the sunsun because that cheesy plastic spray bar keeps blowing off because of the flow. I finally got my canopy finished and my T5 mounted inside which raised it to almost 11 inches above the tank. I think next I will get an in-line heater and maybe a UV sterilizer. I am also debating on a float switch set-up in the tank to take care of ATO.

Sounds like a lot of good improvements.

Post some pics of your canopy if you can. I'm about to start building one myself and I'm always looking for idea

The Sunsun canister filter is running nicely with no problems. Nitrates and Ammonia are both at 0 and my fish seem happy. I got my new Avast Marine ATO hooked up and running. I am glad I went with the pressure switch instead of float switches.

My LFS was having a 20% sale on fish today so I just had to. I wound up with 2 glowfish and 2 Danios. The LFS is closing for 3 weeks after the weekend for a major remodel. I cant wait to see the new store with much more selection.

ATO is working great. I ordered a temp. controller(in Celsius) and its here as well as a project box from Radio Shack. Then its the DIY in-line heater build. Looks like I have enough to stay busy for a while but its going to streamline the set-up nicely, I hope.
