salt in a freshwater tank
my lfs owner today suggested i put "a little bit of salt" in with my discus to keep them happy. what are the benefits of adding salt to a freshwater tank? how much aquarium salt is adequate for a 50 gallon tank?

+1 - some LFS's will salt their tanks, but everything I've read here says unless you are using salt for medicinal reasons, there is no need to use it regularly for FW fish.
