Alternative to java moss?
I had java moss for a couple of years but it just got to be too crazy. It grew thick and when I trimmed it the strands would get everywhere and spread around other plants and what not. Is there a alternative? Star moss? Christmas moss? Anything that will just spread out And carpet my drift wood?

I agree, Flame or Fire moss is awesome. Just needs a little line/string to get it started on some driftwood..
Fire moss seems to grow off the wood about 2 inches and settles down. My java is like yours, grows to fill the tank. It gets a hair cut 2 times a month which is way more often them me. heheheWarning; Bulldog Pleco guarding my Sons tank now..
