did i just mess everything up?
my 5.5g tank has a sponge filter on it, some bb was seeded but it wasnt too long so im going to consider it unseeded.... should i be worried about my shrimp pulling through a fishless cycle? i figured they wouldnt put a big bio load so the cycle wouldnt be bad. 13 shrimp (none too big im guessing 2 maxed out at 3/4 inch the rest smaller than 1/2) should i run out and try to get some of my seeded bio media in the tank?

Well, seeded media helps of course. If you got a well used sponge then cut of a piece and put it on top of what's in there already. Don't be surprised if it's covered in shrimp soon.
In my experience red cherries are pretty robust, cardinals are more sensitive
