Question about dwarf blood reds gourami's, or the species in general.
It seems that my new gourami, bumps into things, not like it's flashing, or itching. Like when it is above the tank and wants to go down, It goes right down, even if theirs a plant under it, but once it hits it it just moves out the way. It also likes to stay near the bottom area, i think it's just shy.

It's a gourami. Were you thinking it would be a smart fish.

Since it's a Dwarf Gourami chances are it's pretty in-bred to get it's rich coloration, so that certainly won't help its poor-in-the-first-place little mind. Just consider it part of it's personality - not normal or abnormal.
A severe lack of trichogaster.
Just because your Gourami is sick does not mean it is always Iridovirus, DGIV, Gourami Disease, et cetera.
Look at all the other factors in your tank before coming to this conclusion.

That sound you hear is ten thousand gouramis reaching for the heaviest chunk of drift wood in their tank. Gourami power!
