Nice Newt! I've wanted one of those little guys for a while now - ever since 6th grade, in fact. Now I'm 33 (well, in a month) and I still want one. ;P
That's a cool little habitat, too - well done. I'd call him Bossk or Greedo. ;PTank 1: 20gal Long Planted Freshwater - 1 Crowntail Betta + 8 Oto Cats + 1 Horned Nerite Snail + 2 Orange Rabbit Snail + 5 Amano Shrimp

Love him! I had newts when I was a lot younger...very fun and you can actually touch them, unlike fish (though not often and use hand sanitizer afterwards).
Just don't get a frog too...our firebelly toad ate half our newts before we figured it out.
Have fun!

I used to have Anoles when I was younger... My parents didn't know anything about them and the pet store neglected to tell us we needed a heat rock or light... Needless to say they died and we kept replacing them. =X Thankfully if my kids ever want lizards or the like, I'll know what to do.

We had anoles too...gosh, we had everything at one time or another. They kept escaping...kinda fun to chase them down when you are a kid, until their tail snaps off in your hand! I screamed then!
In retrospect, that probably was not fun for the lizards at all. :-P10 gallon with a veiltail betta, 7 neons, 1 ADF, and one neat moss ball.

Mine kept escaping too... They would run to where my mom had her plants in the window sill . It never occurred to us that they wanted to escape such harsh living conditions to seek out heat/light. =X
