You can Taurus...I have HOBs on both of my Seaclears...my 3ft 50G has an AC 110 so Id imagine a 3ft 30G's HOB slot would be the same size. You actually get a workable amount of access holes with these tanks IMO.
Thanks! It is a bit different style tank than I have ever done

Thanks Jenn. That's good to know. For the life of me, I can not find a standard 30 glass gallon tank. I may go the acrylic route too.

I really love my acrylic tanks and probably wont use glass again. These Seaclears are really pretty nice and just make a better impression than a glass tank IMO.
Instead of a standard 30G you could go for a 3ft 40G for only a few extra dollars and gain 3" in width. This 3ftx15" wide foot print is really easy to scape. If you get your tank from Petco.com they often have free shipping and their tanks come with a free light fixture. I ordered my 50G(36x15x20) from Petco.com it was just a bit over $200 shipped and came with a double bulb T8.

Just caught up with this thread. They all look great. Soon, you'll have that rock pile right up the back to the top of the tank...I just kept adding to it when I had my Tang tank

Ive thought about adding more rock...but for this tank being essentially a grow out Im not sure Ill mess with it yet. Now when I get their intended 40G I plan to have a rock wall nearly to the water surface. I may not upgrade for longer than expected...these fish do grow at a snails pace
