Jenn's 20G Tanganyikan
Well here it is in very humble beginnings...totally not happy with the rock at all. My seriyu stone filled a 10G nicely, its just far far too small here. I have ordered a box of slate/river rock. Hopefully it does a little better than this, it is also a grey tone so I may can mix it with the seriyu.
Specs...130watt Coralife fixture, Fluval 206, mix of aragonite and black flourite sand. I will be adding more black flourite sand to darken it and thicken it.

I really like how the rocks and substrate go together! That's a really nice look!
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~Chuck Clark

I was going to make this tank a reef...thus it has a "saltwater" light. I typically only run the 1 65watt 10K bulb. But for photos or every so often I kick the actinic on...looks nice with it and I figure it will make the fish's color pop for pics. I didnt see a need to buy another 2ft fixture, when I had this one new in the box.

Looks awesome as is.Can't wait to see it with slate. Did you incline the substrate front to back? That might make the rocks look bigger.

Its a thin sandbed...there isnt really enough of it to incline much unfortunately. And there will be escargot shells

That looks like a serious fixture, are you worried about algae?"At some point you aren't making the animal more dead...You are just making a bigger mess." - Demjor19
