That was some project you took on for sure. But I think anything that calls for living things in it should be considered first as to how many gallons is required for it to have a life instead of making something and then trying to make a living thing fit into that space.

Thats a cool lookin beta fish farm, but i understand about the living conditions of fish and dont want to harm them... im a marine biologist so i know a thing or 2 :) but not big into fresh water

That's not a fish farm but their natural environment. It ways amazes me that people think it's fine for them to come from this environment and then think they are blissfully happy in a bowl of water.....AND then want to add a bunch of "friends" for them to share that tiny space with.
It always gives me a "roll my eyes moment." LOL
I can't think of anything for your space but perhaps an apple snail and not sure even that would be approperate. Three shrimp would turn into 30 so I don't even find them suitable.
