lighting questions

So I want to get one real plant or two somthing simple. I dont know the exact specs but I have 2 15w bulbs from meijer. They are the best ones and they say its for plant and aqua life. Would these on my 55g be okay for some decent growth? The lady at my lps said this would keep a sword and a anubus sorry if that's wrong. Thanks

if you want something simple then try something like java ferns or some form of wort. basically anything from the bread and butter area of this thread

but i will assume those are t8s and hope they are 6500k spectrum. but even still thats very low light and might have issues. hornwort should grow fine in that light

Thank you for the reply! I just looked they are t8 full spec.I like the idea of floating but I need somthing low like the Java fern

you can try the java fern, maybe attach is to some higher up drift wood. but ive read the java fern can be quite easy

Good idea I have a a large piece of drift wood I could get it up about 8 inchs. Whats the best way to attach the fern to wood?

fishing line seems to be the best option but ive never done it. i would do a search on here for the process or maybe some one else will be able to help you out
