I have a feeling all those babies were something besides neons. Neons tetra's do not breed in captivity and not any is US farms, either. There are a few fish farms oversea's that have been successful at breeding neons but nearly all of them of still wild caught.

@ Lady Hobbs - Could be... I did not keep them long. I guess I always assumed that the fry came from the Neon Tetra because they made up the majority of my aquarium inhabitants, and to be honest I do not remember having more than 1 of anything else other than the crabs and snails. I do not know that I can even consider the crabs aquarium inhabitants considering they were always climbing out of the aquarium.
