Need Some Variety

Right now I either feed the betta flakes, betta pellets, or bloodworms. The angel gets bloodworms and occasionally flakes. The pleco gets a piece of an algae wafer (since he's still small). I was thinking about giving them more of a variety of foods. For example, I've heard of plecos eating, cucumbers, zucchini, peas, and even melons. But how is this done? What are good foods for fish to mix it up a bit?

I feed my pleco both cucumbers and zucchini. I peel/cut them into a slice about 3 inches long and 1/4 inch wide. I run some boiling water (from the kettle), over it for a few seconds, let it cool and put toothpicks into one end. The toothpicks get pushed into the gravel so the slice is up right on a 30 degree angle. I only leave it in for the evening and take it out in the morning.
It took awhile for my pleco to figure out that slice was some good food but once he did there is no going back.

For your angel, have you tried some freeze dried tubiflex worms?

Thanks. I'll have to get some organic zucchini then. No I haven't tried tubifex worms yet.
