Meet Isabella
Well, as some know my female Ram has been doing poorly. She's still with us, but I have had to place her in isolation to see if she can recoup and grow out finally. I've had her for a little under a year and I could swear she's either never grown or has actually gotten smaller.
So today, I used up the last of my store credit when walking by the locally bred Blue Ram Tank. I just thought it would be best for both Marcus and Maria to split them up for now and add a new female. I got the largest one that I could find there, which is a hair smaller than Marcus. She appears young, but is a good size and good color. Anyway, here they are:

He's already taken a shine to her. Probably cause it's her egg laying time.Last edited by bignellm; 07-05-2012 at 08:15 PM.

Beautiful fish. Marcus is an awesome looking Ram!
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~Chuck Clark

Thanks.
Hoping Isabella grows up nicely as well. She's like an uncut diamond ATM. Rough and frayed. She had some spunk in the tank, was one reason I picked her.

Thanks all. So far Maria's not had to be on the run. She looks like she's lounging. Seen her poo too. So know she's getting and processing food.
In the main tank, I took one of the Dwarf Flag Acara (Curviceps) (The Beta Male) back to the shop. It seems to have seriously changed the Dwarf Cichlid Geo-Political make up of the tank. The Rams now look like they own the place
Isabella's still routing around looking for an egg laying spot. But so far the other Curviceps hasn't bothered with them.Forum Rules_Pest Snail Eradication_The Fishless Cycle, By Lady Hobbs_Cycling With Fish, By Lady Hobbs_Homemade Hospital Tank_Fish 911
