Foster kitten passed away tonight :(
I just need to get this out.
I'm fairly new to the forum. For those that have spoken with me, along with my 11 aquariums, I also have 4 rats and 4 cats. I volunteer with my local no-kill animal shelter, as well. For the past week, I've been fostering a newborn kitten. I picked it up last Saturday, and it was clear it had just been born within the day. To make a long story short, It passed away today, at 1 week old.
I did the best that anyone could for that kitten. It just wasn't enough. I'm pretty sure it had pneumonia, and at that age, there's nothing that can relaly be done for it. I can't believe how little time it took for me to become attached to that little baby. My heart is broken.

Aw :( I'm sorry to hear that
The probability of being watched is directly proportional to the stupidity of the act

Sorry about the kitten...newborns are notoriously hard to rear, but you did try and that's the best chance it had...

Look on the bright side, it never got de-clawed/ and or bounced around from home to home like so many other cats do, it died knowing only you, fewer then 25% of all cats are as lucky.
