my 90 before I retooled and refinished it
Backing up a bit ... I found this set up VERY used and looking pretty rough in my LFS in June and bought - all except for the coral. So this is how it looked before I refinished it.

Wow! You've done a great job! Looks great! I really like the wood.Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~Chuck Clark

thanks everyone. I love how the tank has shaped up.
The photo showing the tank along with the lights on is pretty true to color and light. The water shimmers, especially at the bottom - just like natural sunlight is refracting through it.
Can't wait to get fish in it. I think I might rearrange the rocks a bit and make a 3rd cave. I want to make sure anyone who feels the need to hide has the spot to do it if they feel insecure. :o)
Still going with 2 blood parrots but instead of 2 severums, I'm going with 1 severum + 1 electric blue Jack Dempsey. My LFS guy has some juvies that are STUNNING and he said since they are the electric blues and will be smaller than the regular Jack's, he thinks it will be a good mix. Supposedly the ELB's are not as aggressive as the big boys. But, if it doesn't work, he'll take the ELB back in a heartbeat and trade even money for something else, no problem. So, I want to try it. Not yet sure what else is going in but possibly a blue angel. Hoping to start with all fish between 2 and 3 inches so it should be nice and showy and hopefully, peaceful.

Had gorgeous colors on my API tester today
A - 2
Nitrites - 5
Trates - 10
So we are absolutely moving right along.
thought I'd add some more photos to show how ready I am for fish!
Here is the tank full and cycling in my office.

all the rocks came from a lake in northern Minnesota where our family has a cabin. I've been collecting all summer.
I hope I have enough hidey holes but may yet make a little cave with a tera cotta pot covered in aquarium stones. we will see
