Shy Angelfish

My tank now only houses an angelfish, clown pleco, and shrimp. I've had the angelfish for close to a week now and haven't seen it eat yet. It moves across the back of the tank occasionally and I can't find the food several minutes after feeding. For the most part the angel just hides. Would small schooling fish help? I really don't want to add more fish but I will if I have to. I'm just tired of having to change stock in this tank. I want the fish to get along and keep them for years. What should I do?

What size is the tank? He's a baby and still getting used to his surroundings. I toss some floating pellets in the tank for mine to pick at during the day.

26 gallon. I've been feeding bloodworms.

He came to the front of the tank last night which was the first time he wasn't scared of me but I'm still not sure if he's eating or not. I've tried feeding flake food too now.

Give him time, as you probably know angels are cichlids, and after they settle in cichlids are the least shy fish around.

He still tends to stay near the bottom of the tank but comes out of the corner now. Q: Probably not a great idea but if I added more driftwood, could I get another pleco? I don't want many fish but with only 2 fish (a pleco that does nothing until it's pitch black, and an angelfish that is slowly coming around) it isn't a very active tank. The betta tank is more entertaining by far. If not a pleco, maybe some kind of catfish? Something that won't school?

I have a few ideas now after doing some research. What do you think?

1. Just leave the tank as is. The angel will come around and get more personality with time.
2. Add a school of some kind of tetra that won't fin nip. I'll need suggestions on that though.
3. I've never had luck with dwarf gouramis but what about a gold gourami?
4. Another pleco, say a BN? Maybe some kind of catfish.

I know I've been talking a lot about this tank but I've had disasters happen before with stocking and don't want it to happen again. I want this tank stocked right.
