Got a new Bowfin!!!
Some of you may remember us losing our Bowfin shortly after our long move from OH to PA back in November. We weren't exactly sure what caused his death, but I was bummed out over it...Just as I am when we lose any fish.
Fast forwarding...
This past week was our annual fishing trip to upstate NY and I caught another nice little male Bowin! This one is about 16-17 inches long. He made the long drive home and is in the tank. He even already ate a few chunks of Tilapia fillets last night. I'll post pics soon!-Jordan

You know you are into monsters when you call a 16-17 inch fish little ;-)
Looking forward to seeing it.Do as I say. Not as I do.

I would be a bit cautious adding so early to your main tank just because of all the parasites and nasties that could come from a wild caught fish. I would hate to see you have anything happen to your other beasties.

I know I am breaking some rules here, but I feel pretty confident that I can fix most of what could pop up. I am keeping a very close eye on everyone. Thanks for the concerns though!

Here's a little teaser. This was him during acclimation. His nose got a little banged up from the transport, but it's healing nicely.
