Nano stocking Ideas

Anyone have experience with a six line wrasse and its compatibility with blennies or gobies?

They will be going in a 20 gallon nano.

I have my eye on a few differ gobies or blennies.

Any suggestions or experiences on stocking a nano reef? I'm thinking 2 maybe 3 little fish.

I have a six line wrasse with a stary blennie that can be a little mean. Althought they are both in a 90 gallon tank, I've had no problems so far.

Just be carful getting a blennie for a 20 gallon tank. A lot of them will out grow a 20 gallon. The only ones that I know of that would work OK in a 20 are: barnacle blennys (Acanthemblemaria macrospilus) harptail blennys (Meiacanthus mossambicus), and two-spot blennys (Ecsenius bimaculatus I think). You should be able to find a few more.

I was looking at the harptail blenny. There seems to be alot of gobies to choose from too. I just don't know much about them. Would a sand sifter be beneficial to the tank? I took out all the substrate and plan to only put an inch or two of on the bottom.

Seems like having a active fish like the six line and a sand sifting gobie would make a pretty well rounded tank.

I was thinking about getting a picasso clown fish but IDK how big they get. Any ideas. I read 3" Would it be a waste of time to add a anemame to a 20 gallon with corals?

I would not risk a BTA in a 20 gallon. They can get up to 10 to 12" in size when they reach their full size. Not to mention that when they are happy they will start splitting and moving potentially stinging corals along the way

IDK about picassos, but Ocellaris clows will max out between 3 and 4 inchs so they might be a option for you
