Second attempt - Snake ID - Better Pics
The Snake is still with me and now in a better enclosure so I can post some better pics that will hopefully help ID it.
Additional information. When threathened it drags its head into an S strike position and make a rattling sound with its tail. Much lika a rattle snake. It does not have any rattle on its tail.

Where do you live? If I remember correctly, snakes that rattle the tail but don't have a rattle are usually bluffing, and that looks like some sort of boa to me.

The snake is from Pacific coast of Nicaragua.
Corallus annulatus is one the ideas that has been discussed as a possibilityDo as I say. Not as I do.

Yes, it definitely looks boine. The Corallus genus seems to fit. I think we can rule out Elaphe.
That strike position is identical to the one my Corallus cookii used to make

It does look a lot less like a rat snake now...
Thanks for the 'new and improved' pictures...

Looks like some type of Rat Snake or other colubrid to me. It is common for Rat Snakes to vibrate their tails in defense. Not very common in constrictors. I have no real guesses though. just be careful for now.

Good point on the rattling. Never observed that in boas either. Looking at the grey eyes with small dark pupil, it does seem similar to the Elaphe or Pseudelaphe genus
