Coral growth
Hey guys,
I have a small acan colony about 25 heads and some favia that had been in my tank for 5 months now, they have not added another head or spread since, until now in the past week my acan has added a few heads and my favia is finally growing. Is this normal to have such explosive growth and it take so long?10G Algae tank-The Nano was moved to the 55G

Have you been testing Ca, KH, and Mg? Have you been dosing? What salt have you been using? What has been your water change schedule? Did you change bulbs or anything? What have you been feeding?

+1 to the above
Good coral growth can be a matter of getting the right combination of: water parameters, lighting, water flow & movement, and food. Sounds like one or more of those factors resently changes for the better.
At least that has been my experiance. If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.
