  1. Question Planted tank lighting

Hello, I posted another thread but I am gonna switch my 29 g tank. Soo I have lots of questions because its kinda confusing >.<

So first: Is 90-60 watts of moderate lighting?

I found this light that seems good anyone use it for
    Planted tanks? http://www.marineandreef.com/Freshwa...p/res53113.htm

Also if i can use glass or pexiglass covers, the lighting can just sit ontop right?

If you have anything to add or change or say, not offended.
    Any help is appreciated. ^__^

It all boils down on what plants you want to have. But then, 60 watts on a 29G might be overkill specially when using T5-HOs.

One T5-HO or two T5-NOs will probably work for ya.

I am not too sure on what's available in your area. But since you gave the site, here : http://www.marineandreef.com/Aquatic...p/ral20143.htm this might be a better choice for you. But only use normal output (NO) bulbs instead of HO.

I would recommend one 6500k and one 10000k for the spectrums. I will not use the actinic bulb that comes with it.

The light you gave the link for is a power compact. Great lighting of several years back. Replacement lamps are getting fewer and more expensive.

T5 is the way to go, unless you're handy and willing to do a DIY LED setup.

One T5-HO or two T5-NO is nearly perfect for your tank.

Your local hydroponics shop will sell you a very good T5HO strip and very decent reflector for $30.00 to $50.00.
