Yes, you don't see very many fully grown tangs like the orange shoulder and vampire tang that I have. The vampire tang might grow a little more, but he certainly is very very close to fully grown at the least. Both of them are somewhere between 10 and 20 years old. I would put them closer to 15 to 20 myself, but that is just a guess based on a typical growth rate. Those two fish were kept by a local hobbyist and were taken to a SW LFS when he had to take down his tank.
If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

Wow, that old! It does make them very special. Matter of fact your tank makes me want to go to the Shedd Aquarium here in Chicago. Check out the SW section.
