Thanks guys
I'm really starting to enjoy the fact that this tank is starting to mature (based on no changes in the dHK, Cal, and Mag levels) and I can now spend more time enjoying it and a lot less time maintaining it.If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

Always nicer when you can step back and enjoy your work some more lol the tank looks stunning man and very healthy! Well done as always
55g Long --> After 18mo of doing well the tank crashed during moving. Most likely cause: Flatworm Die-off... won't start another until after moving... Likely not until late 2013
Check out the journal to follow my 55g SW tank

Things still seam to be going well. The srubber is starting to work better than I thought it would and is now out competing the macro algae for food.
The red carpet anemone is doing better now. Two weeks ago I made a few changes to the flow in the tank and it really PO'd him. He got so grumpy about it, he actually retracted into his boot to the point there only was a little blob on the substrate the size of a loonie (silver daller for my american friends). I wish I would have thought to take a picture. He has now adjusted to slightly stronger flow and only moved one or two inches (at most)

My parameters are holding steady so I might start adding some SPS frags soonIf you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

Thanks guys.
I'm hoping the SW LFS were I live can find me a blue carpet anemone soon so I can start stocking clownfish again in the tank.If you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

I picked up a blue carpet anemone today from our LFS. I am accilmating him to the tank as I am typing this post. He is really PO'd at me right now, but once he has his boot settled into his new home he should be happy again
Picks will be following tomorrowIf you take your time to do the research FIRST, you can successfully set-up and keep ANY type of aquarium with ease.

Woo! Looks like the LFS pulled through for you then. I can tell how bad you wanted one of these.

Below is a pic of a very PO'd anemone just placed in a tank

I was trying to put his boot into the substrate about 3 inches below were he is sitting right now, but the grumpy little critter grabbed on the rocks and would not let go. So there he sits. I am hoping he will make his way down into the substraight soon and work his boot into the substrate like his tankmate already has.
Hopfully he will settle down soon and I will be able to get a better pic of him tomorrow
The light make him looks a lot whiter than he is. He does have a nice light blue color, but as I am blocking out some of the light the colors really look offLast edited by Cliff; 01-26-2013 at 01:00 AM.
