The SW LFS just sent me a pic of the new blue carpet. He/She is looking pretty good for being acclimated only a few hours ago. Still showing signs of stress, but at least some of that is to be expected.

I haven't been to the store yet, so I don't know exactly how big it is yet.
Haddoni carpet anemones can get over 2 feet across and I have seen pics of some that get a little bigger around 3 feet. My red carpet is pretty close to 2 feet right nowLast edited by Cliff; 12-21-2012 at 06:30 PM.

Well, it looks like I may not be getting that carpet anemone after all. I went to the store to check him out after work and the store owner had him in a QT tank as he looked very very bad. Looks like the stress of being shipped really took a toll on this guy. He did not open up at all today and his mouth couldnot have been opened wider than it was. The store owner is going to keeop a close eye on him and try to nurse him back to good health, but the odds are not all that good

damn dude... sorry to hear that... nems are usually tough that way after transit... sorry to hear it because that looked like it could be a really good one! Next time hopefully
55g Long --> After 18mo of doing well the tank crashed during moving. Most likely cause: Flatworm Die-off... won't start another until after moving... Likely not until late 2013
Check out the journal to follow my 55g SW tank

Thanks Hockey head. I went back to the SW LFS this morning to find out the anemone did not make it. Hopfully the owner can find another one to order in that will be just as colorful.
