They need to be about two years old. The water should be 78 degrees, pH 6.5, gH about 3 or 4. Tank should be well planted. Condition them on high quality and occasional live foods. When an egg-laden female and interested male are selected, move them to the spawning tank. They'll select a spot on the bottom. Its helpfull to have low plants, like Crypts, in the tank as they spawn on the bottom. You'll have to move the pair as soon as they finish, or they'll eat the eggs. Eggs hatch in a few days, when free swimming, feed the fry infusoria/green water. After a week introduce BBS.

Thanks CP. When I was a teenager I bred all kinds of fish, just to see if I could. I'll have to list them sometime. My crowning achievment was neon tetras.
